Part IV & V

Yes, it was part of the April Conspiracy. I definitely believe that the columbine shootings are a result of the April Conspiracy. My main reason for believing this is simply that many of the deciding factors when people decide to doing something violent in nature is based on another person’s previous actions that are similar to the one that a person is going to commit. For example, one of the reasons for Dylan and Eric for doing this shooting was their desire to copy and ultimately upstage those who participated in the WACO incident. Whether it is consciously or subconsciously, humans naturally follow the patterns of others before them and the idea of an "april conspiracy" can be enough for someone to act out just in order to keep that thought or idea alive. Realistically this is not some super natural force linking all these April tragedies together but I think its probable that peoples own practices and Beliefs make these massacres linked together in an odd psychological sense. It is common for fear and belief both to cause people to do irrational things so the fear and belief surrounding the April Conspiracy, I think, will be the key factor in the truth behind these acts. -Delaney Sullivan

No, it was not part of the April Conspiracy. The Columbine Massacre was not a part of a conspiracy theory. Though the shooting took place on the same day as the Waco Massacre, close to the OKC bombing, and near Adolf Hitler’s birthday, the incident was not planned to compliment these other happenings. Nowhere in the journals or bloggings was there any evidence of Nazism or worshipping of Hitler. It was recorded that Harris and Klebold wanted to “out-do” the OKC bombing and Waco Massacre with their violence, but the date on which the Columbine shooting happened was the fault of two very troubled, mentally instable teenage boys, not a higher force. -Morgan Renner
